Often it can be good not to have what you want because it means that you have to be creative and more often than not you end up with something better than if you had what you wanted…Many years ago I was asked to put a ghost on a Christmas Stocking I was making for a young boy…Since then I have seen many ghost buttons but at the time I had to be inventive and I like the little ghost that I created and I put his brother on this project…Standing less than an inch high he is to cute to be scary.
To make your own ghost you will need a 1 1/4 inch square of fabric, cut on the bias from a fine white fabric ( old hanky fabric is perfect)
Stitch a 1/4 inch diameter bead beside the centre of the square.
Pull the top of the square over the bead and hold in place with a couple a tiny stitches hidden in the folds.
Stitch a piece of chain so that it droops across the front and hangs free at the ends.
Use a permanent ink pen to add to spots for eyes….BOOOOOOOOOOO
