Back in My studio June 21st, 2006

The Flower on a cutting that Sharon gave me

Long time no write…when I finished the Katrina Quilts I…

Did some of the backlog of house work.

A good clean up of my studio.

I spent some time organizing my beads and charms into a new storeage system, more about that later.

I spent some lovely time in my Garden…the temperatures were cooling as we moved into Autumn after a long hot summer and I enjoyed being out there digging while I could.

I painted the shelves in the Laundry.

My Son left home…I wanted to be excited but this is the third time that he has left home so its taken me a while to beleive that this time it might be for good…he’s a lovely young man but there comes a time when off spring should leave the nest lol….

The day after Sam left, my car broke down and the repairs would have cost more than the car was worth….being without a car was a bit of a setback and was starting to get me down when a friend asked if I would like to “car sit” for a few months?…would I, yes I would, gives me time to save some money to buy one for myself and as a bonus it is a Zippy little car, light on petrol and nice to drive…ooooh what a difference a car makes, my daughter is sick of hearing me say how lovely it is to have a car lol.

With my son’s leaving home my life comes to a cross road…a time to rest and take stock of where I am at and where I would like my life to go from here….Do I need a new challenge? Sharon thinks that I do and has challenged me to join her in posting 100 details for 100 days …I am accepting her challenge and tonight I have created a new catagory which I have called 100 days 100 details and posted the first detail so I will be on the same day as Sharon..Thank you Sharon, I do need a challenge.

Whilst I have not been in my studio I have had the little knitted shapes that I started last year spread out on my lounge room floor…I have finished knitting the 350 bits that I need to make a lap rug, I have them stitched into pairs and have started stitching them into units of 4.

VERY glad to see you back posting, Annie! You are on my toolbar, and I have been checking regularly, and waiting…
I will be watching your 100 details with great interest, and sewing some of them up, too. I have a lot of stitching to do this summer, and having someone give me a “recipe” will make me so much more productive.
Glad you took up Sharon’s challenge!
